We will talk in class today about some changes to your note taking.  Please wait until you've been to class before you begin the assignment below.

Due Thursday, January 9th:

Outline Section 4.1 in the book.  (Pages 116-123)

You must include the following on your notes. 

• The section and title (Example: 4.1 - The Early Greeks)
• The name of each "heading" and important notes from that section.  Please

make sure the section is marked.  For example, draw a bubble around it,

underline it, or write in all caps. 

• Any vocabulary word and its definition.  Please highlight the word in yellow.

Listed below are the MINIMUM number of bullets/notes you must have for each heading.
     The Geography of Greece- 4
     The Minoans- 9
     The First Greek Kingdoms- 1 (You don't have to define Mycenae)
     What Were Mycenaean Kingdoms Like? - 6
     Power From Trade and War- 7 You don't have to define Agamemnon)
     What Was The Dark Age? - 9  (You don't have to define Peloponnesus)
     A Move to Colonize- 7
     The Polis- 5
     What Was Greek Citizenship?- 6
     Citizens as Soldiers- 5
